Stragglers...

Here are a few tasty items that have found their way into the racks lately that may have escaped your notice. Not necessarily Brand New, but, we think, worthy of your attention. Titles and minimal descriptions will be provided. The rest is up to you. If your curiosity is piqued you may refer to your favorite source of info on das internet or stop by for a more full blown enticement.

Mark Hollis-S/T
reissue of 1998 solo LP from Talk Talk frontman.

Cave - "Neverendless"
now here on CD or LP

Jim Ford - "Harlan County"
reissue of overlooked gem of Country Soul from late Seventies

Father's Children - "Who's Gonna Save The World"
Unbelievably Numero Group provides us with one more unearthed, unreleased treasure from 1973 by this fine DC soul outfit

Laura Marling - "A Creature I Don't Know"
this is getting some of the best reviews we seen in a while. Apparently quite "a stunning fulfilment of early promise" say Record Collector. This 21-yr-old British chanteuse is definitely on the way up. LP or CD

Field - "Looping State Of Mind"
yet another band that seems to improve with each new release. "Minimal techno stylings" probably does it an injustice. Top notch

A Winged Victory For The Sullen - "S/T"
the group is comprised of a dude from Stars Of The Lid and Dustin O'Halloran. It was described as "pastoral". That usually floats our boat.
